DU vs. University of Calgary

This coming Saturday, September 30, the University of Denver Pioneers will play their first game of the 2006-2007 season in an exhibition game against the University of Calgary Dinos. The Dinos are celebrating their 40th Anniversary this season. In the four preseason games the Dinos have played this year they have won 1 and lost 3. Their roster offers a bevy of Albertans, a fair share of British Columbians, a smattering of players from other various Canadian provinces. In their 40 year history, it appears the Dinos have never won the University Cup, Canada's version of a National Champsionship title. However, they have won several Canada West Conference Championships (1974, 1976, 1980, 1986, 1988, 1990, 1995, 1996).
